Versa Lite keeps rebooting by itself

Hi not sure what’s going on but my versa lite keeps restarting / rebooting every hour. It’s so annoying when it restarts when I’m mid way through a workout. I’ve tried resetting it and changing my clock face to default. Can someone please help me fix this! My versa lite is not even a year old.

@Kimmyphua, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa Lite since it restarts by itself. B y the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.

Finally, monitor your Versa Lite and see if it stops rebooting by itself.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

It prompted me to update my fitbit versa. Now it can’t go pass the black screen with the white logo because it keeps saying “Data not cleared sync and try again”

I tried to on and off it so many tones even my app and phone but it doesn’t work!

I'm having the same problem, tried the steps above and now my fitbit is either stuck on the white fitbit logo or the blue logo  with written to start download the fitbit app.

It syncs with the app but it prompts me to download the update and it always stops 3/4 of the way and never completes.

Please help.

Hi, did you solve your problem? I have the same and it’s very annoying...

I've been having the same problem.  Today I have factory reset twice.  I personally think it's downloading the free clock faces.  So, after this second reboot, no more of those and I'll see how it goes.

I'm having the same issue. I already did the factory reset, updated, shut it off, and it is still restarting as I'm doing the workout. Im happy I'm not the only one with the issue but I'm upset that it's becoming a common issue. I'm honestly very disappointed since I've had other Fitbits in the past and it has never given me an issue like this. Worst of all I got it as a gift a while so I doubt I can get it exchanged or fixed since it seems like this isn't something you could solve from home on your own.

The most recent update about 10 days ago seems to have fixed my issue.
Version 38.70.7.27 Hope yours is working better for you. It was so
frustrating.

Hello. I’m wondering if everyone in this thread was able to get their Fitbit working properly.

I’ve been having all the same issues in this thread. Found my Fitbit stuck on the logo a few days ago and it just kept randomly re-booting to the logo screen.

I followed the instructions posted, then it got stuck on the update. After finally getting that to work after multiple tried, I left it to charge overnight and when I woke up this morning, it was back stuck on the logo screen.

I don’t even think I’ve had this one a year. Had issues with my last Fitbit as well and updated to this one thinking it would last. So frustrating.

Mine won’t stop rebooting. It doesn’t stay on long enough for me to even attempt a factory reset. I get to the first page of settings then it reboots again. Anyone figure out a solution yet?

Hi all,

My problem came after updating the app and then was fixed by itself after the third update of the app. Now it's ok, but I'm afraid to update again 🙂

Once they did a software update to 38.70.8.0 I haven't had any problems
(knock on wood). Check what version you have.

Contacted customer services, they ask me to complete the update on computer, I tried and success updated on computer but back to phone still ask to update and the same issues still there... Anyone can help?

This did not fix the issue I factory reset the watch as well as completed the update and now the fitbit will only continuously flash the fitbit logo and will not completely turn on at all whereas before it would allow me to use the watch but it would restart about every 20-60 minutes like described above.
This is so very frustrating..
