Versa Lite not displaying text notifications

Last year I had my Versa Lite replaced because the touch screen wasn't working. Since then the new watch works fine but it doesn't display any notification (except phone calls).

First I thought the watch was not receiving the notifications at all, but then I accidentally swiped down and discovered that it was all there! So the watch is actually receiving notifications, it's just not displaying them.

I have gone through all the steps of the troubleshooting guide, but it didn't change anything. It's as if the watch was in "do not disturb" or "sleep" mode, except it's not.
I don't know if it's relevant: since I switched to the replacement watch, there are weird entries in the app notifications list, such as "com.apple.Passbook" or "com.amazon.AmazonUK". I believe they correspond to apps for which I had received notifications on the old watch.

Since then I moved from an iPhone XS to an iPhone 12 and the problem is stil there.

Please advise...

This is how I finally got my watch to display notifications again:

  • remove the watch from my account,
  • uninstall the Fitbit app,
  • forget the watch in bluetooth settings
  • factory reset the watch
  • reinstall the fitbit app
  • re-add the watch

Now everything is back to normal (not thanks to fitbit support).

Hello @ogerardin, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums.

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

Hi Ricardo,

As I said I have gone through all the steps of the troubleshooting guide, and I just did it again this morning. Nothing changed.

Maybe you missed the important bit: the notifications are received by the watch as I can see them when i swipe down, they are just not displayed when they arrive. That leads me to believe the problem is on the watch side.

Hello @RicardoFitbit, so what should I do next?

Can you please escalate my issue to someone who can help further?

Hello,

We're now in May and the problem is still there. I'm not giving up.

How can I get someone knowledgeable to look at it?? I'm not doing the troubleshooting steps again, I've done it dozens of times and we know it doesn't help. Please come up with something new.
