Versa Lite not syncing after firmware update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the update my fitbit refuses to sync. I have tried restarting the fitbit and my phone a numerous number of times which usually works but it just will not sync! I do not want to lose days of data by trying to see if disconnecting it and reconnecting it works as I cannot guarantee it will sync then too. The last update broke my last fitbit which had to be replaced, so I am hoping this update has not done the same. Any ideas guys?

My versa has been doing the same for 3 days too. Battery draining so fast too so it's died and the time/date is wrong 😞

After I updated my versa about 2 weeks ago,  the battery started to drain fast. The time is incorrect and it counted my steps but never gave my heartrate. I've tried several "tricks" but nothing is working. This all happened out of the blue.

Hi @CMarquis , there  is a known problem between Fitbit  and Huawei mobiel devices. This might be the reason for your problem. Erik

Hi @otterridge , are you using by any chance a third party clock face. If yes, this might explain your problem. Change it to one developed by Fitbit itself and restart your Versa, if necessary more than once. Erik

Known by who? Why send the update if it's already a known issue? My P30 pro has been absolutely perfect with the Versa for 6.months until this update.

Anyone else having issues with heartrate after the update ? My back LED has started to blink RED when i dont wear the watch and it turns green.

Also heartrate is very sporadic...its 130 when i sit and then if i remove and wear the watch again it becomes 80 !

Hello there @CMarquis, it's nice to see you around. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite is having syncing difficulties after the firmware update. Thank you for the steps you've done so far. Nice way to go!

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps provided in these help articles: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?

Hi there @Squidgmy, thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry your Versa is also having issues after the firmware update. I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here, someone will respond as soon as possible. Due to recent events affecting our operations, we may need more than 7 business days to respond.

Hello @terbele, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app to solve the issue with the location and weather app. If the weather doesn't update, check the following settings:

  • Location services must be turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • All-day sync must be turned on in the Fitbit app.
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

If you change locations, sync your device to see your new location in the Weather app.

Hey there @otterridge, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for taking the time to follow some tips and recommendations provided in the forums. If you're having syncing difficulties, please see what I suggested to @CMarquis and try what is provided in the help articles.

If your battery isn't lasting as expected, see: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?. Also, make sure you're properly charging your watch to prevent issues with the battery. For more information, see: Why ins't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
