Versa Lite not tracking running

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa Lite isn't tracking running correctly last 2 weeks. I ran 1 mile this morning and my watch says I  only ran .15. I did a factory reset last night thinking it would help. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi @Jennate, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Regarding the running tracking issues that your Versa Lite has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

Please try a regular restart as described in this help article. After this, check out this help article, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your workouts.

Finally, monitor your watch during your next running activities and see if they get tracked accurately.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you. I restarted it Monday just to see if that would help. It still didn't track my runs correctly through yesterday so I did a factory reset on it last night. I just checked out the article you shared so I will keep you posted tomorrow morning. Thank you for your reply!

Good morning, I wanted to update you on my Versa Lite. I ran a mile this morning and my Versa Lite logged .4. I've done all that you asked me to do. I also noticed yesterday while showing a coworker how my watch and the app weren't showing the same thing, that my miles actually went down. While I was showing her it subtracted. How? Please advise the next step. Thank you.

I had this problem when my runs weren't recording properly and it wasn't showing me a map, but if you go onto your settings in your phone and click onto apps and then onto fitbit, you need to allow your fitbit to access your location all the time instead of just while on the app as my runs are now being recorded correctly and giving me a map.

I did ring fitbit and they didn't help me so I youtubed it and found this so I hope this helps you

Thank you for replying. I really don't need the map part, because I run on my treadmill. But it just won't track legitimately. I will go in and check my settings now though.

Nothings ever simple is it drives me mad, what hope have we got if even people who work for fitbit don't know, if I see anything I'll let you know but hope you get it sorted

I know. I had an issue with my Versa, which is why I upgraded to the Lite....now I'm having issues again and it's not that old. I checked my settings and the location was already on for Fitbit so I'm at a loss. Thanks for your reply.

My map isn't working again now, must be a bad bunch of watches they've sold and don't want to help out. So frustrating the problem is people that work for fitbit probably don't even know how to use the watches because all they say to me is that it's to do with GPS when i know that isn't the problem, only had my watch for 3 and a half months wouldn't recommend this sort of fitbit to anyone now
