Versa Lite screen blank

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa lite is about 3 months old.  This week there was an issue with the battery not staying charged and today my screen has gone blank.  If I try to restart it, it does not show the fitbit icon.  It only comes up kind of light gray with very light red & yellow colored vertical streaks going through it for a few seconds and then the screen goes black.  I can still feel it vibrate sometimes when I touch the screen.  I have changed the clock from my bitmoji to a fitbit version and this has not made any difference.  I use this with the Galaxy S9plus.  I see many posts with the versa and the versa lite having screen issues, but none of them seem to have the solution in the posts.  Please help!

Hi @kgilanyi, welcome to the Community Forums, it's a pleasure to assist you with your concern. Thanks for bringing this post to my attention @NellyG, your willingness to help is always appreciated.

@kgilanyi Thanks for the details that were shared in your post and for troubleshooting this situation. Since you already tried our restart process, I want to suggest you our factory reset procedure, which is completely different than the restart process that you already tried. To do so, please follow the next steps:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be here if you need further assistance. Keep me posted.

I"m having a similar problem with my Fitbit Versa . All of a sudden the screen went blank. It won't even buzz when the charger is connected and I've tried "restarting" it about 50 times with no luck. All of the support advice from Fitbit is around the Versa, not the Versa Lite.
