Versa Lite screen not responding

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought this Versa Lite just over a month ago and I've been having problems for a week.  The screen stopped responding to touch.  I looked here and many forums said to restart it, maybe several times.  I did that and it worked for a few touches then stopped.  The forums said to change the clock face to one made by fitbit.  My clock face was already by fitbit, but ok, I'll change it.  The watch and fitbit app crashed and had to try two more times before it was ok, and then I could use the touch screen again.... but again only for a few touches then no more...  I tried to restart it again but somehow it did a hard reset so I waited a long time while Fitbit downloaded onto the watch again... then I could use the touch screen... surprise, only a few touches then again, no more....  I tried letting it drain completely then leave it in the charger for a few hours.  No luck.  I tried changing the clock face again and now it is stuck at that point.  Funny thing, the watch clock's face did change but the app said it failed and to try again... then somehow it  switched back to the previous one... and is still "installing" And now sometimes even the side button doesn't work...  what now?  I am peeved that I basically paid for an expensive watch that only sometimes work.

Hi @D_sugarbaby, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite's screen became unresponsive. I totally understand how you feel and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, check out if your watch turns on and the touchscreen works properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
