Versa Lite stopped receiving message notifications

I connected my FB messenger with my fitbit versa lite when I first got my fitbit. Everything worked great until 2 or 3 days ago. One of the messages got stuck on my fitbit. I couldn't get it to clear even after I deleted the message from my phone. I ended up resetting my fitbit and the message cleared. Now it won't stay connected with my messages at all. It keeps telling me that I have to restart my phone to enable messages. I do and it will work for a little while, then a new message will come on my phone and my fitbit won't go off. I go back into the notifications and it tells me the same thing, that I have to reset my phone. I have tried resetting both my fitbit and the phone multiple times both individually and at the same time.

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. Finally, monitor your watch and see if it receives notifications properly.

I was able to get them back on my watch by resetting the notifications. I
turned them off, reset my phone, then turned them back on. Seems to have
fixed it.

My watch won't alert when calls come in. 

Tells to reboot phone 

Tried everything.. Even unistalled software on phone. Still won't work

Total newbie here! Mine stopped working and didn't realise that if you push and hold the button it had another screen there where notifications were off. Put it in my pocket at work- must have accidentally pressed!
