Versa Lite stuck on Fitbit Logo

I have just purchased Fitbit Versa Lite and on my first charge the watch does not respond and displaying black screen. Eventually it shows a fitbit logo, but shortly after it goes back to black again. This cycle goes on and on even after keeping it connected to the charging cable for 24h. It just turns on whenever it wants. What should I do?? I have not even got the chance to use it as it was still fresh out of the box.

Hi there, @Dkkhouw. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa Lite before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

As for the Fitbit Logo, while you have your Versa Lite connected to the charger, please try the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa Lite from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa Lite again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa Lite.

If you can't get started with your Versa Lite, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Hi @Dkkhouw  in case you need it, here is the Versa Lite user manual - click to go there. Might be a good idea not to leave it on the charger for 24 hours. They usually don't need more than a few hours to charge from a low battery.

Thank you Marre for the response.

At this moment there's little that I can do with my Fitbit Versa Lite as it is fresh out of the box. I have not paired it with my account via bluetooth as my device is unable to detect the presence of the watch.

I have tried cleaning the back of the watch as recommended with a cotton swab and alcohol, and did the same to the charging port. I also tried restarting it using the recommended 10 second hold, but both to no avail.
