Wouldn't sync so I did a reset on the watch. Now it is just saying download app to start setup. Reinstalled app on phone but nothing changed on watch.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.

Wouldn't sync, did factory reset on watch and now it has stayed in a loop saying to start download the app. I've already done so and no change.

Hello @Rguithues1990
It sounds like you may have done a factory reset without unpairing it from your Bluetooth. We can try and set it up again as a new device to see if that helps. You won’t lose any of your data as they are stored on the Fitbit servers. But you will lose any data you collected after your last successful sync.
Try setting it up again and follow this path carefully

Doing those steps I do get it to sync but when it trys to update watch firmware I get a big red x on the watch and it just goes back to startup loop. 😔 soooo close lol help!

Hello again @Rguithues1990
Try restarting your Fitbit Versa 2 again. If the issue continues try logging out of the Fitbit App, turn your Bluetooth off then restart your phone. Next turn your Bluetooth back on, log back into the Fitbit App then try the firmware update again.
🤞🤞 I’m hoping this helps. Please let me know

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Rguithues1990. Thank you for following the steps that @SunsetRunner advised and I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite is not syncing.
If you can’t update Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, check the firmware version on your watch:
If your watch’s current firmware version is different, or you continue to have trouble, follow the troubleshooting steps in the Ionic, Sense, and Versa series section.
I hope this helps.
