Versa Lite: why no update offered?

I got a new Versa lite last saturday. The fitbit app reports version 33.1.30. The about screen on the device shows version 38.33.1.30. (I suppose 38 is an identifier of the device type?).

If I look at this page https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1372 it says that the latest version is 38.70.7.14, so I expected 

 

My question is: why am I not offered the option to update ? Anything I can do to force an update?

The option to update appeared this morning, 3 days after activation...

Anyway, I did the update and the watch now has version 38.70.7.14, all is well!

I’ve been wondering this exact thing, so I’ll just keep being patient. I’m glad someone was wondering the *exact* thing as me and had an answer!
