Versa Lite won't sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my versa lite for 1 year next week, and it started losing time over the weekend. It was off by 30 minutes when I woke up the other day. It wont sync anymore with my Note 9 - Samsung. Its listed in my bluetooth. I googled how to fix this and that didnt work.
It seems to be a known problem.
I even removed the fitbit app and installed the app again - still won't sync.
I was driving my car today using bluetooth - android auto for gps - and the versa corrected the time. I've been out of my car since noon, the real time is 7:34 pm and my watch says 7:20.
Does anyone who has had this problem fixed it? Thanks!

I have been having the same issue since Friday morning, I went to sync, couldn't, so I removed it and then couldn't get it set back up until that evening, now it's having the same issues all over again.

This is my FOURTH fitbit device in approximately 6 years, but will likely be my last.

Hi @sassyn89178 and @djpeeps, welcome to the Community Forums.

I appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for both of you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile devices that can prevent the syncing procedure to be completed.

Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

Do you have Bluetooth in your car? My watch worked fine in my car. Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note9.

I do, and even tried while in my car before leaving work yesterday and still wouldn't sync.

I appreciate the links, but syncing worked fine until Thursday/Friday, restarted working (after factory resetting my fitbit, after exhausting all the links posted on the other forum results for the same issue), then stopped again Sunday night.

I appreciate the link about how syncing works, but I've had this fitbit for almost 2 years.

I just started having this problem too and I've had mine for a year. I haven't yet figured out what to do to fix it.

Not for nothing but this didn’t work. Fitbit seems to have a major problem and can’t seem to fix it.

Doesn't make sense that my watch updated in the car yesterday.  This morning it was 1 hr behind, all of a sudden,  it caught up to the correct time.  Now, it's 3 minutes slow again.Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note9.

Ricardo - Why would my watch sync in the car and not off of the phone?
Now, I removed your fitbit app again - received a message from fitbit that it can't sync to my phone now, its taking longer than usual. 10 minutes later - its still trying to sync.
I've done nothing to my phone.
There are plenty of videos on youtube going back 2 years, that this is a known problem with android phones. I'll just go to Amazon and buy an $40 smartwatch - if that only lasts a year, then I got my moneys worth.

I went to Amazon this morning - there are plenty of activity watches under $75. If these only last a year, its no great loss. I removed the app - turned the phone off - etc - and I'm waiting on it to sync.

Call this number - 877 623 4997. I had a very nice man talk me through getting it to sync again. Now, I have the correct time - He gave me a case number so if it happens again - they have a record of me calling.
Good luck!

Call the number I posted earlier - I called this morning - he got it to work...and over 3 hrs later it stopped again - won't sync.
So, I called again, went through all the steps with him and it still won't sync.
I've had my watch less than 1 year, still under warranty.

Called the fitbit help number and they are sending me a replacement watch.
