Versa Lite won't update

Hi

Bought a new versa lite and tried settingup for first time

downloaded fitbit app on android mobile, connected to versa lite and it started downloading the software

it took 6+ hours to download and started updating/configuring by itself, after few hours it is showing the same initial setup screen on versa lite and on app it saying unable to upgrade try again

the current version of firmware is 38.6.1.1

unable to use the wearable, as I tried updating the software multiple times and it didnt work 

 

how can this be resolved

Hi there @SuperMassive, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having to update your new Versa Lite. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for your efforts in trying to solve the issue, I'll be glad to help you with this. 

Since your watch is stuck on Version 38.6.1.1, please do the following:

  • Attach your watch to the charging cable and plug the charging cable into a USB port on your computer before you begin the update.
  • Keep your Fitbit device close to your phone or tablet to complete the update.
  • In a few days, you’ll receive another prompt to update your watch. At that point, you can update as normal without plugging your watch into a computer.

Give this a go and let me know if you need further assistance.
