Versa Notifications not displaying

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Versa and a Samsung S10. All was well until a few days ago. Notifications on my versa have just stopped. I went through all the advice I could find and have tried everything. Restarting both. Unpairing and repairing etc.

Interestingly the notifications are still coming to my versa. I can see them if I swipe down. But not popping up at all.

Any suggestions?

Hi, part of your problem is that the 10 is not yet in the list of supported  devices by Fitbit. What I mean to say with this that you sometimes encounter the problems you're experiencing now. Will be solved and gone when the S10 is in the list, which will not take that long IMO as the Samsung S10 is a popular device.

Hello @cjrp  if everything worked before,  let's assume it still should work.

However your post is confusing.

You say that notifications are not coming to the Versa, then you say that you can see them on the Versa?

This is not a phone problem,  since notifications do get to your Versa.

First this to check is to see if your Versa accidentally got put in its Do Not Disturb mode. Hold in the button, to gain access to the quick settings, you might have to swipe left. Check that notifications are still on?

If they are on, then let's turn them off and back on.

If this doesn't solve the issue, let's do a shutdown and restart by holding in the left button.

To shutdown swipe to settings, help, then shutdown.

I suggest a shutdown since it might be either a software or hardware issue and shutting down is the best way to fix a hardware lockup.

Keep its updated please

@Rich_Laue

Rich,

Many thanks for your helpful comments.

I have tried everything.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I have unpaired and repaired the phone and my versa.

I have turned notifications on and off.

I have restarted the versa.

I am absolutely at a loss.

No messages getting across from phone to versa. No pop ups or vibrations at
all.

Hugely frustrating!

Have you any other suggestions? You know what you are talking about,
obviously!

The strangest part is that I didn't change anything. Didn't attempt to
reset anything. It just stopped...

All suggestions welcomed.

Rory

Still trying to figure ot what your symptoms are.

You say that you are able to read your notifications on the tracker,  but you do not receive notifications. Sorry but these two statements go against each other.

Are you able to read the notification, after the fact,  on the tracker?

Some notifications could be found if I swiped down on the versa. Although this has now stopped. So it appears that no notifications are getting from phone to Versa.

I remain perplexed...

Push and hold the left button on your versa. You should see screen wake and notifications. Check to see if it says on. Mine this morning where both set to off. I have no idea how it happened but once I turned them back on I’m now receiving notifications.

How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Receive call, text message, calendar, and other notifications on your Fitbit watch or tracker if you have a compatible phone

Check the settings in the app,
Check the permissions in phone settings/apps/ Fitbit/permission
And phone settings/ permission/ show all is Fitbit turned on.
Di you get notification on the phone while the phone is locked?

I understand what they mean.  I'm having the same problem.  It is only showing a missed call when I swipe down on the screen, after the caller has hung up.  It doesn't show the call when it's coming in.

I am having the same issue and spoke with a few support representatives.  They were unable to resolve the problem and agreed to send me a new watch.  I even asked that since I am going out of town could they expedite the shipment and I should receive it in 2 business days.  I am definitely most impressed with Fitbit Customer Service.
