My versa Reset itself yesterday and keeps showing the message 'to start, download the fitbit app'

I have tried doing a reset. I unmatched and re-paired the device. I ran the firmware update. It keeps displaying the same message.

Have you tried setting up the tracker through the Fitbit app? 

You will first have to remove it from the phones Bluetooth.
