Versa Stopped Working

I am not sure what to do.  I was just wearing my watch and looked down and it had stopped showing anything on the screen.  I have tried charging it (it had 60% earlier that day) and I have tried holding the back and bottom button for 10 seconds.  I am worried I need to make a warranty claim but I am guessing it will take a while 😞  Any other suggestions?

Last night my Fitbit versa begin to act strangely. The screen would brighten, and it would go to the settings page without prompt. This morning, when the battery went low, I attempted to charge it, and the device screen went blank. I have tried everything that has been suggested on this page and nothing works. I have tried to reset it, and it doesn’t work. I have tried to reach charge it, and it doesn’t work, I have tried to different outlets and charging devices. Nothing works. Can I get assistance?

Well for me I also did all the troubleshooting. I called customer service
and we did a few more things. Unfortunately nothing worked and they sent me
a replacement. They never really explained the issue and told me to drop
the old one off at a recycling place. So far the replacement is fine so
we'll see.

I bought my Versa in January...I've worn it in the shower occasionally and in a pool once. It is supposed to be water resistant to 50M...the pool was only 5 feet deep...so that shouldn't be an issue.

On 17 April the Versa started flipping out...vibing and flipping back and forth between the Fitbit logo and the clock screen. I did a reset and it chilled out...and was working fine...until yesterday. Last evening, 15 May, the Versa screen went black and none of the buttons were working. Very odd. Since it last synced with my phone around 9:30pm and was showing a 100% charge via the app. I put it on the charger anyway, just in case. It showed 0%... a few hours later, I pulled it off the charger...still not working. Fitbit logo appeared then disappeared. I tried to do a reset...nothing. I tried a Factory Reset (3 buttons)...nothing, not even the Fitbit logo. I've tried this several times over. I never once get a vibe from it. It seems dead.

I'm quite disappointed...especially since I was planning to purchase a black Versa for my hubby for Fathers Day.

Help!

My versa lite has stopped lighting the face up. When I try to restart I can barely see a red message but can’t read it? Only had since 04/01/2019. Never been wet or slept in.

My Fitbit versa stop working with no reason and 90% battery. Tried everything suggested by customer service team, and got an extremely disappointing response that I needed to buy a new one with a little discount. This was the 2nd Fitbit I have bought and both had a lifetime a bit more than 1 year or less. This time I bought a more expensive version expecting it would be better and now they are advising me to buy a new one.
How could this type of technology could have such a poor performance in such a short lifetime?
I am not going to buy a new one unless they provide a viable solution

Unfortunately not, they gave me a voucher with a discount to buy a new one, but we decided just not to invest anymore on this brand, specially after understanding is a recurrent issue. Sad as my husband and I were planning to give one for Christmas to the kids. We will look for other options.

Received my Fitbit Versa in Nov of last year and was thrilled. It has really helped me in my fitness quest. In June the screen went wonky and wouldn't swipe. I tried all the resets and it lasted about two weeks the first time, then a week, then maybe a couple of days.  Now, nothing ~ wont even charge. Purchased a new charger thinking that may be the issue.  Unfortunately not the case, as my friends charged perfectly fine.  Ugh, and I am not walking as much.... 😞

The SAME exact thing is happening to mine!! I’ve been pretty bummed about it too. My Fitbit really kick started my being active and healthy journey, it’s been down for two weeks and I’ve gotten back onto bad, unhealthy habits. I NEED to get this resolved ASAP lol

Same thing happened to me today.  Will not restart fully charged.  It now has green lights on the back but the display is black.  Sometimes it will not even connect to the app and sometimes it does.  Called support and exactly 2 months out of warranty.  By the way this is my second versa, since first one also broke just under one year.  All they gave me was a discount on a new one but not sure if I want to invest in another fitbit.  I may look at other options.  VERY DISAPPOINTED.  I loved the versa but not reliable.

Yes I am going to look for another product.  I have had 2 fitbits fail so I see no reason to invest in a third.  My first one was just within the one year warranty.  The second was 2 months out of warranty.  For the money it should last longer.  Done giving my money to fitbit.  Very poor quality and would not recommend Fitbit to anyone.

Good luck.  I have had 2 Versa's go black.  First one was 11 months old and replaced under warranty.  Second one was 14 months old and no replacement.  Seems to be a known issue.  I will NEVER buy a Fitbit again.  Too much money for a product that lasts less than 2 years.  I hope yours is under warranty.  Good luck.
