Hi I just returned from a 2 week break in Crete - very active hols - hiking and swimming - day time temp between 32-37 deg. Wore Fitbit all the time . Disappointed to find the original black strap on my versa has cracked across - just above where I buckle it - it’s on the piece where the holes are . Has anyone else come across this issue.,- I could have lost my versa if it had broken fully .

Yes mine did exactly that too after 14 months with sedentary lifestyle. I got pack of 3 new compatabile straps from Amazon for £9.99 but haven't had a chance to use them yet as before they were delivered my watch face separated from base.
