My Fitbit versa is tracking my daily walking around work as swimming. Does anyone know why?

Have you tried using the manual mode called walk? This should record correctly.

If you do not swim have you disabled the auto detect of swimming? I would also disable any other exercises not likely to be done.  This will also speed up and make the tracker snappier.

Welcome to the Forums @Brelynn.

Let me help you figure out what is going on. I will be moving this thread to the Versa board as I think it is better suited for it.

In this case, I'd like to recommend that you try log out of your account and then log back in to make sure that the information loaded on the servers is correctly loaded.

In addition to that I'd like to ask you the following:

  • How many times has this happened?
  • When was the first time this started happening?
  • Was the activity tracked automatically or did you manually being tracking the walk?

I look forward to your reply.

Hello. Yes I've tried logging in and out.

It is showing up on it's own under the hexagon of weekly exercise automatically. I've looked for ways to change it with no luck.

Out of the 14 days I've had it 11 of them show swimming one shows weightlifting and one shows walking
