@Koppei07 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Do you have your app up to date? Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. If the option still doesn't appear then remove your Versa (tap the Versa icon then tap the trashcan icon) and restart it by doing the following:

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

After this retry the setup process.

Hi @AlvaroFitbit

The wallet tile isn't showing in my app either and when I check compatibility my phone doesnt show this feature - I have a Samsung S7 edge, but the functionality isn't even listed for the Samsung S8+

Is this an error?

Thanks

@JustVickyUK Welcome to our Community! Happy to have you here. I would like to have more information about your device for example is it an special edition Versa? Where did you purchase it? Also are you in the US or located elsewhere? Could you add a picture of the backplate of your Versa? Do you have your Fitbit app up to date?

I also want to comment that the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge should work with your Versa so this makes this more odd but if you provide the information requested I should be able to better assist you. If you do have an special edition Versa or an NFC enabled one please try the suggestions in my previous post.

Finally I would like to clarify that the North American market will have a standard edition Versa without the NFC chip (just the Special Edition will have it) but for the European market all of the devices should have the NFC chip in it.

I look forward to your reply!

I just bought the Versa as well today and tried the suggested but after many hours... the wallet app does not appear on my fitbit app on my iphone 8 Plus.  I am disappointed that the fit bit pay is advertised to work for versa, but the wallet does not appear so in fact - fit bit pay doesn't work for Versa.

Fitbit Versa Special EditionFitbit Versa Special EditionThe backplate of the Fitbit will say "Fibit Pay" (as shown) if it truly is the Special Edition watch.

It is advertised for Versa, not only Special Edition Versa. So I’d still have to purchase the watch/Fitbit ...wait for it to arrive, and then open it, and look at the back to see if I have the fitbit-pay option...?

@abvang @crossfit_bc Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! As @crossfit_bc your Versa should show if it has the Fitbit Pay feature. Also on the official website it is stated that only special edition Versas have the Fitbit pay option (check the picture).

If you purchased an Special Edition Versa then you will have the Fitbit Pay option if you don't have the SE then you won't have the pay option.

Keep me posted!

@Briannon25 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your app isn't showing the wallet option. Do you have the app up to date? Have you configured your country on your settings (tap the account button at the top right corner then select Advanced Settings). If do you have it set them please change it to a different one, save and change it back to the correct one. You could also log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I have 'Fitbit Pay' on my Versa which I purchased today.  It has the wallet app too and my Fitbit Versa isn't the SE version.  Bit confusing to say the least.

@AndyLAS Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Where did you purchase your Versa from and where are you located? This restriction applies to the North American market. If you purchase elsewhere then you will get the Fitbit Pay option in any Versa.

Hi, I had the same problem. I bought a versa in Australia and I cannot set up the payments. My device says fitbit pay in the back part but after the set up with my phone app, the tile of wallet doesn't appear. The solution was to set up properly my location.

1 - Go into your account on your mobile app and tap on the credit card icon on the top right corner.

2 - Tap the tile with your name

3 - Tap in personal (I have my app in Spanish so probably yours says something different) is the first option under your name and has a smiley face on the left.

4 - Add a location, I don`t know why that setting was in blank.

Done, now go back and tap on the device and the wallet tile should be there. If not contact customer support (I used the chat option and was fast and clear).

So... I live in North America, and I too was misled into thinking that all Versa's have the Fitbit pay option.  Now that I know, does this mean that my Versa will never have Fitbit Pay?

Best Answer

@EvvyV Welcome! It's great to see you around. Sorry for the delay in my reply. If you don't have an Special edition Versa then you won't be able to use the Fitbit pay option as the version you have doesn't have the NFC chip required for this. In this case you can return your standard Versa to the retailer you purchase it from and get the Special Edition one.

you need to have the FitBit Versa Special Edition to get FitBit pay options as the standard model does not have the NFC chip in them. This is clearly written in the descriptions  of features of the Versa. Then again, if you don't actually read the description you would not know this. I don't think you were misled, I just think it might be that you assumed all Versa's had Fitbit pay?

Pretty arrogant response. Did you think it would be useful to me?
Best Answer

…Sorry If you feel it was an arrogant response from me.  There is nothing "useful" to tell you about your Fitbit that does not include NFC, other than what I said, and maybe exchanging it for one that includes NFC. Maybe next time you buy something and make a mistake by not reading the features, you won’t falsely accuse the manufacturer of misrepresenting their product?
