Versa and One, different steps information

I wore my Versa and One tracker both starting at 0. After walking 60 minutes on the treadmill there was a 2000 step difference. Any suggestions? I’m inclined to think the One tracker is more accurate.

Hey @Sheree346, it's great to see you here @SteveH and @GreginJaxFL thanks for stopping by.

Keep in mind that Fitbit Versa and Fitbit One are two different units, so the information between them may vary. Like our friends here said, if you are holding the bars while being on the treadmill, your Versa won't be able to register all of your steps.

If you see that your steps information is not being accurate at all, I recommend restarting your Versa, check your steps, walk 100 steps, check them again and let me know how many it registered.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes. Robot Happy

I would expect the One to accurately count steps on a treadmill. The versa should also count steps ok - unless you hold onto the treadmill rails which can cause wrist-worn trackers to miss steps.

Yep, steps are counted by your arm swing so if you were holding onto the rails, no steps. Same a grocery when pushing a cart.

Good to know, thanks. I’m going to follow your suggestion and take 100 steps to see if the Versa is accurate. I appreciate your help.
