About a month or two back, my Versa's battery suddenly started draining very fast. It used to last about 3 days, but now hardly lasts a day.
I use a clock face by Fitbit, have all-day sync disabled. Also tried a factory reset. None of it helps.
Not sure if it's a software update that caused it. Has someone found a solution?

Do you turn your device off at night? I've heard since the last update people who turn their devices off at night are experiencing an excessive drain overnight when the device is powered off (I've heard of it on the Versa and Ionic models so far).

No, I don't. I only charge it when the battery is less than 5,%

My wifes fitbit versa was affected in the software update in Dec where the heartrate wasnt dectect on the device so it was constantly resetting itself and as a result the battery was draining and the device was not responsive to touch. Well my device required a new software update and my versa is now draining fully in about a day and a half and I have to reset it constantly so that I can touch the screen to swipe. I have contacted Fitbit via chat and have had to do a full factory reset and then do a battery drain test for assessment. Have you contacted fitbit for support yet?
