Versa battery drains quickly

My Fitbit Versa's battery life isn't lasting a day.  It's never drained this fast before.  I looked this up on forums and it says to turn off all day sync, but that option isn't available.  Do the batteries have to be changed at some point?  I'm not sure why it won't hold a charge.

Thank you.

Hi there, @lpresby64. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Please note that the battery on your Versa is not replaceable nor interchanged. We as Fitbit do not do it or suggest to do it as it could permanently damage your watch.

Keep in mind that your Versa was designed to last 6+ days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your watch. Said that, I recommend charging your Fitbit watch with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above suggestion, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations.

HI @lpresby64 - the batteries can normally be replaced and in general such issues are not because of the battery but some usage or settings issue.

Though not all options may apply look at the main things that affect the battery How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life.
