Hello - curious to hear about other's experiences with Versa's battery life. After having the watch for 1 year & a few months, my versa can't stay on for longer than 24 hours (when it should be 4+ days). I tried multiple options to make sure I wasn't draining my battery intentionally in any way. I then had a rather infuriating conversation with customer success who shared that since I'm past my 1 year warranty there is nothing they can do - but have me purchase another watch...There are SO many smartwatch companies out there and while I've really wanted to stay within the FitBit family it feels like it's time to find something that works better. Anyone else share similar experiences?

@MadelineBarry welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear about the battery issues that your Versa experienced. I'm also sorry to hear that it's no longer under the warranty period.
I totally understand how frustrating this is for you and I appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.
I'll be around if any question arises.

Here's my experience. This Versa is my 4th fitbit. I've had a Charge (the button on the side quit working and the band broke), a Charge HR, a Surge ( it started going screwy as to readout) and now a Versa which I've had for 2 months. I like the Versa when it works. The battery only holds a charge for about 24 hours which is pitiful. The charging dock is crap. It is very finicky about making connection and often doesn't no matter how much I make sure the connections are clean. The watch isn't good about telling me what percent of charge is in the battery so I don't know if the dock is connected and working or not. This is my last fitbit. I'm tired of throwing good money after bad. I'll find another fitness tracker.

Thanks for the response! Good to hear I'm not alone, but sorry to hear that you've also had a rough experience with Fitbit as well. Amen to finding something else.

I bought one for my wife as a birthday present. She loves it but the battery life dramatically changed a few weeks ago to not holding a charge for a full day. She contacted customer service and of course, the device was one month out of warranty. They said we would have to buy another device and have us a percent discount..... which is total crap. Especially since you can’t replace the battery. The versa now just resets every few minutes and is totally unusable. You’d expect a company make a device that lasts longer than “just out of the year warrant period” when you’re spending $200 but I guess Fitbit is not one of them. Im extremely displeased.

I lost my fitbit Versa about a month ago while jet skiing with family. I had it for over a year and never had any issues with it, especially the battery life. My old one would need charging about every 3 days. So being upset I went to my local Costco and bought another Versa. Not even a month into owning the new one and it wont hold a charge for a day? What the heck???

In the same situation and it sucks. I had this for over a year as well. I was getting 4 days of battery life and now less then 24 hours. It is more like 12 hours. I can't get anyone to answer these questions.
1. How does a device go from 4 days to less then 12 hours of battery life. I have turned everything off.
2. it is obvious by looking at facebook, twitter and this forum that other people are having the same issue. Why hasn't fitbit done anything to correct this.
Is it the new update to the application? They are not admitting anything other then running their battery test. What a **ahem**. The battery life was the selling point, I should have kept my Samsung gear, it was a nicer watch and now had better battery life. I plan on being very vocal as this pisses me off.

Madeline, I´m having the same issue, and my watch is 16 months old, so no warrant.
It's very difficult to understand that you buy a watch, that for me was great ( not at all what I first expected, but worked well since now )and suddenly you have a piece of crap in your wrist. I´m starting to look for other devices, that can fit me more. Versa 2 is the same as the other. No more

Update to my post.....I completed my battery test and contacted Fitbit to discuss the results. Apparently I am in warranty and a replacement will be shipped. Overall I am happy with the solution but still am wondering how i went from 4 days of battery life to less then 12 hours in 2 weeks. Doesn't make sense to me.
