My screen is not working, everything else is like the vibrations and that little green light at the back. But the screen doesn’t do anything when I touch it or when I touch a button. Even when I charge it it doesn’t react does anybody know what to do?

And as expected, they made me repeat debugging steps I had already performed and informed them that I had; then they politely told me the unit is past its 1 year warranty, which is true. We now have to decide if we want to stick with Fitbit. Our experience has been 2/4 so far in terms of failure rate after a year since 2017. I would not be surprised if they have built in planned obsolescence. 😞

I bought mine in March 2019, has worked perfectly until this month.
I updated it maybe a week it so ago, then 3 days ago I got the black lines, followed by distorted colours, followed by totally black screen. It still vibrates on receiving messages and logs to the app seemingly fine.
After reading this thread, a lot of posts which concur with my experience, I’m beginning to wonder if the update had something to
do with killing my watch off in order to prompt me to buy a new one. I contacted CS yesterday so will see what they say, but there’s no way I’m dropping another £150 on a Fitbit because I’m out of warranty. I’d rather try something else as this looks to be a problem for the Versa.

This is exactly what happened to mine yesterday. Screen started flickering and now the screen doesn’t work. Still syncs with app and does everything else, just no screen.

I have a versa lite. The screen is black and I have only 1 button on the side to reset it. Did that. Screen is still black, however I get the buzzed notifications for emails, texts and phone calls but no visible screen. I can see the green blinking light on the back and have changed watch faces to see if that was the problem. Thought about is being dimmed all the way down but can't access a dimming ability. Would like to know what else to do.

Mmm have you contact customer services?
It was a bit difficult to get an email address at first but after that gotta say the customer service was pretty good.

You can't do a Factory Reset if you can't see anything on the screen

This is exactly what is happening to me right now, except it will hold a charge for about 4 days. I did an online chat with support with a man who was extremely patient. Due to the fact that I purchased my fitbit in 2018, it was out of warranty. I was told that I would be receiving a discount...not sure what it is yet, as I have not checked my email yet. I have owned a fitbit since 2012.

Same! I just got done speaking on chat with customer service and they said I'm a few months past the one year warranty so the best they can offer is 25% off. They said I've done all the trouble shooting they usually suggest so nothing more can be done. I've had it 1 year and 3 months. So aggravating.

Thanks! I try and it lights up but remains black. Must be something more. Ugh, never buying fitbit again.
Thank you!
