When on the charger, my versa remains black for a minute or two then a slight faint backlight, but thats it, no more happens. The charger still makes a notification when plugged into laptop and laptop recognises device. I just cannot get Versa to charge or turn on or be functional.

Hi there, @Kym_K. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa.

As a first approach, please restart your Versa as suggested here

If the restart doesn't work and your Versa doesn't vibrate during the restart process, please follow the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

I’m dealing with the same thing. Started today. It’s like it’s fried. I got half a wonky screen when I held the button while on charger and it buzzed a few times but nothing else. Won’t charge, won’t light up on the back. I feel like it’s dead. Dead dead.
