Versa buttons and touch screen not working properly

My Versa has been working fine up until about a week ago. I've had my fitbit for almost exactly a year (Mothers day 2019) The buttons/motion on stopped consistently working  and when they do the touch screen only works 50% of the time.  I've done the hard reset multiple times, and sometimes it works after that, but usually not. Help! I miss my fitbit!

Hi @ETruck, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the buttons and touchscreen are not working properly. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

 

Please try cleaning around the buttons with a toothpick in order to remove any dust or moisture that get accumulated in these parts of the watch. Also, try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive). 
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons. 
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Set up your watch from scratch and see if the issues get fixed.
