I'm not sure if I understand @jellertdep
Are you having trouble setting up the wifi on the versa? Is the Versa plugged in an charging? It needs to be for the WiFi to stay on .
As for updating the firmware, this can be done through Wifi or Bluetooth. I'm not sure what device is being used to update the firmware.

A warm welcome to the Community @jellertdep and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
If you are having issues connecting your Versa to your WiFi, I recommend taking a look at the help article Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi? and follow the instructions provided there.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

Thanks for the update and the attachment @jellertdep.
Please try the following:
If you still can't connect your watch to Wi-Fi, continue by doing the following:
Remove your watch from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone (known as "unpairing").
Hope to hear from you soon.

This is so frustrating. I have just received a new Fitbit Versa and I can't make it connect to my WIFI. It is trying to connect then failed with a big red X mark on the fitbit screen. I have read this forum and tried many below tricks and it still doesn't connect. I may have a defect Fitbit Versa shipped to me.
I tried:
- rebooted my phone
- rebooted the Fitbit Versa many times
- reinstalled the fitbit app
- deleted the bluetooth pairing with the Fitbit and rediscovered it.

@sn305 have you checked to make sure the watch is compatable with your wifi?
How do I find my Wi-Fi network password and security setting?
Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?
Is the versa plugged in and charging, the wifi won't be turned in unless the versa is charging.
Does the Fitbit app give an error?
Deleting the Versa from the Bluetooth is a good step, but the user is not able to rediscover the Versa, this mouse be done by the app during the next sync.

Rich, thank you for the tips. Those information and links did help. However, there is also another tip that I would like to share here in case other will need. It worked for me.
The possible issue is most of the nowadays WIFI router has 5G and 2.4G WIFI bands. For Fitbit or Versa specifically, it can only connect to a 2.4G WIFI with N-band. You will need to connect your smart phone with the 2.4G WIFI first, and use the Fitbit APP on your phone to update the Fitbit Versa. I found out this the hard way and it took me 5 hours to figure this out as my phone was connected to the 5G WIFI band. The WIFI band connection will need to be compatible with your phone vs Fitbit. Hope this helps.

How do you find and change the Wi-Fi band you are connected to?

@Gshgma are you asking about your home router Wifi Setup?
Usually this is found on the back or bottom of the router.
Let's click on the Fitbit Help Link that is found below, a quick search of the word wifi will give us this hit.
How do I find my Wi-Fi network password and security setting?

Hi, in order to keep your Versa connected to WiFi, it needs to be in the charger and connected to PC during the entire update process. After that, go to your Fitbit app - go to WiFi settings - click on it - your network should be present there. When it is and you have entered the password of your router manually (Capital sensitive) earlier, there is on the right side of the name of your network a white icon. Click that and Fitbit starts connecting to your network. When the connection is completed the white icon turn to blue and it says "connected". Why is it necessary for the Versa to be in the charger and connected to PC? The Versa itself does not have WiFi on it's own but uses you phone/PC as a bridge to connect to the WiFi network. Whenever you take the Versa out of the charger, WiFi will be disconnected within a very short time. Hope this helps.

Fitbit will only connect to the 2.4 network. You just need to have the tracker charging, this can be done through the computer as mentioned he @SunsetRunner or your phones charging brick.

Since the post, I was able to get my versa setup.. I did nothing different then I had done in the beginning.. but as a note, i did not have the versa plugged into my computer to charge but rather into the wall...
i hope since it now it now sees the network, it will continue to do so.
thanks everyone.

Hi. let me know if my suggestions worked for you. For me it does all the time. Once again, if you want your Versa to be connected to WiFi, put and leave it in the charger and connected to PC als long as you need the Versa to be connected to WiFi (f.i. for transferring music or whatever). Once you disconnect the versa from your PC the WiFi connection is lost within no time.

Appreciate your info and found if informative.
Is my Versa supposed to stay connected to my wifi via my iPhone? Because I have to manually force it to connect to my wifi through the phone app. each time.

I know this post was in 2018 and we are now in May 2019. Took me the longest and could not connect the WiFi to my Versa. FINALLY! I connected it to my HotSpot and it worked. Hopefully this post will save someone hours out of their day.

Hi, can you tell me how you connected it to your Hotspot? I tried everything.
Set all the wifi on 2.4ghz. Still need to keep filling in my password over and over again. Network is out of reach.
