I know there are several clock faces available but my question is are there 'always on ' options for the click face. I know that may impact battery life but I don't want to tap or swipe to tell time..

Right now Versa will not have a built-in option to have the screen always 'on,' as @WavyDavey has mentioned there are 3rd-party developed clock faces that have this Setting included.

Hi @scottinnj,
It's difficult to say exactly, since the Versa isn't released widely yet.
I can say that the Ionic does have third-party clock faces that have the always-on screen, so it's very likely those will be made for the Versa also. It will just take the developers a little time to reformat the clock faces for the Versa's screen.

I want the same thing and I found a clockface that has an awlays on option it's called 'Nothing Special'
I ultimately want a clockface that instead of turning off it just fades into low power consumption screen saver of just a large dim clock display until woken up.
Has anyone else found other third - party faces that have the always on option? I'm using "nothing special" but would like other options.
Has anyone found a clock face for Versa that has "Always On" that will dim after a few seconds (like Pebble)? I have seen several conversations on this but no solution yet. It doesn't seem like Fitbit will add this feature so are there aftermarket solutions? Thanks.
