Versa counting floors while riding motorcycle

My Versa seems to be counting floors while riding my motorcycle. I live west of Savannah GA and drive east towards Savannah. The elevation change is minimal and should be going down rather than up. In the 30 minute ride to work my Versa counted at least 10 floors. Driving in my wife's Focus doesn't seem to affect it at all. Driving basically the same direction, it didn't count a single floor. What could cause the Versa to count floors while on the motorcycle?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding your Fitbit Versa counting floors when you're riding your motorcycle. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this and for providing the additional details. Your device uses both an accelerometer and altimeter to track floors, and registers a floor when detecting continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. Your device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information about the accuracy of the Fitbit devices, please see here

You can remove the extra floors from your daily total by following the instructions in this help article: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?

Some users find useful to turn off the device for the time you're riding the motorcycle: How do I turn off my Fitbit device?
