Versa counting steps when not walking.

i just bought a fibit versa, i have been typing on my pc for 30 mins without standing up, but my versa says i hv walked 600 steps

i contacted fitbit and they offered a replacement but am not sure if they will send to malaysia😅

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for having shared your experience with us. @angieng87, I'm glad you were able to contact our Support Team and that you were sent a new Versa. Tell me, were you able to receive it? If you need further assistance with this you can reply to our Support Team, I'm sure they will be more than happy to help you. 

 

@TGMA, at this moment I would like to ask you to restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Now, tell me, when you leave it on the table, is there any source of vibration like a fan near the tracker? This might be the cause the Versa is counting extra steps. Please move it to a different place or if you're not wearing it during the night, turn it off by tapping on the Settings app, scroll down and tap on About and then on Shut Down.

@MarcoGFitbit fitbit says the replacement order has been placed in the system and is now waiting for shipment and i will soon get a confirmation email on courier. but they still have not ship out yet so i am not sure if I will actually get the replacement.

well just got a email from fitbit saying that there is no stock for replacement of my versa and i can check back with them in another one or two weeks. i knew it would not be that easy claiming warranty as i still have doubts if the will actually send me a replacement.
