Versa display stopped working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have and 18 month old versa that I love(d). The display has stopped working. I have called tech services twice and have restarted, factory reset and changed clock face. The display will only light up grey. The watch is still working in the back ground but essentially useless.

Fitbit hasn't been very helpful. I want to fix this watch and they don't seem to have an after market service. They offer a 35% off code for a new one. The last thing I want is to buy a new one. I see this is a common problem, does any one have a solution you can offer??  Much thanks.

I have a 2yr old Versa 2 that started doing this yesterday.  Watch works for all intents and purposes (data logging, notifications, etc...) but every time I try to "wake up" the screen it's just blank (backlight turns on but the LCD itself is just a black screen).  If I hard restart the watch I get the screen back and everything is normal until the screen locks/sleeps for the first time, then I can't wake it up again.  Factory reset via the side button, factory reset via the app, changing clock faces, rapidly pressing the side button to loosen it up, charging to 100%, tired them all but nothing worked.

One workaround I've found is to turn on the Always On Display since it never fully locks/sleeps the screen, but this isn't ideal for battery life or for sleeping.  Currently waiting for word from the warranty department at Fitbit, I'll try to post back here with what they said.
