My today screen shows the run I did when I explocitedly chose excersicier - run , but other workouts and run that got auto detected does show on my today screen . But those do show on my phone app

Yes, that is the way they work. Autodetected exercise is not visible on the watch. I think it would be great if you could see it on the watch, though!
