My versa 1 recieves notifications and buzzes when it does but does not automatically light up to show the notification. I have to push the button in order to read the notification on my versa. My previous versa light up automatically. Anyone know where the setting is to change it to automatically turn on when a notification comes?

Hello @taduec, thanks for getting back. Please note that this is an expected behavior as it the way it works. To see the time on your Fitbit device, turn your wrist to wake up the screen. Only with Fitbit Versa 2, you can turn on always-on display to keep the time visible. For more information, see: How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?

Hope this answers your inquiry. I'll be around if there's any questions present.

Hi there @taduec, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help with the Screen Wake feature so your Versa can light up again when you receive notifications.

Please swipe down from the top of the screen, and tap the quick settings icon In the quick settings screen, tap the screen wake icon to adjust the setting.

  • When you set Screen Wake to Auto (Motion), the screen turns on each time you turn your wrist.
  • When you set Screen Wake to Manual (Button), press the button to turn on the screen.

If the issue persists even when having Screen Wake is set to Auto, restart your Versa and see how it goes.

Let me know the outcome, I'll be around.

It’s set to auto and still nothing. I’ve done a soft reset on it and still doesnt automatically light up when I get a notification. If I move my wrist how I would normally to light it up then it lights up but not without moving.
