With the death of my 2nd Ionic (stopped tracking steps, and heartbeat then loaded up a big red X in a circle and would do nothing else) I took it back and got a refund. Although I was not going to, I decided to buy the Versa since I've tried to remain loyal to Fitbit.
However, if this device fails within the next 12 months, then I'm sorry that is it. Having read of so many Ionic failures and had them fail on me as well there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough. I'm hoping the Versa will keep working just like my old Blaze did and the One prior to that, but a bit of advice to Fitbit, please start a more rigorous quality control system, so many units should not be failing so soon into their lifespan.
The issues of syncing via Bluetooth or WiFi should not be as numerous as they have been given today's technology. Already despite setting up the WiFi and then connecting to it fine. The device went to update and immediately fell over with the WiFi, I'm having to use Bluetooth instead. This was within seconds of detecting and connecting to the WiFi (which by the way is about 1 meter away from the device) and giving me the big green tick of A-OK, then failed to update as it couldn't find the WiFi again.
So last chance, I'm sorry Fitbit, if this time the device fails then I'm going to have no alternative but to find an alternative provider, which would be a shame as I really like the design and features of your products.
