Versa glitches - hot blank screen

My Versa is 13 months old. Last week after the battery went dead, I recharged it and then the time was incorrect. Synced it, then time returned to normal later that day. Fully charged that night. The next day, the screen started to flicker, touch screen was unresponsive, and the screen kept vibrating, locking and unlocking by itself.  Battery said it was dead in less than 10 hours of use.  Put it on the charger and it got VERY hot to the touch. Unplugged it.  Left it for couple days.  Screen would not turn on. Tried to recharge it again.  Did not get hot this time while charging, but would not turn on.  Pressed and held the back and bottom buttons multiple tries as per the forums, but still not turning on. Backlight on screen will sometimes light faintly (only noticeable in the dark) then go black again. Will vibrate when in the charger and synced via the app. Tried to change the clock face as per forums. Did not help either. Please help!

Hi! Could you have the customer service team message me too? I’m having the exact same issue, except the screen never illuminates and it continues to overheat while charging. I really miss my Fitbit! Help!

Before I contact our Customer Support team, we will need to first exhaust all the applicable troubleshooting steps to resolve the inconvenience that you are experiencing with your Versa devices. If your Fitbit is not turning on at all, meaning that's completely unresponsive, I suggest you guys to try the steps that are specified on our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

 

In case your device is responding (meaning that the Versa is vibrating, syncing or the heart rate sensor lights are still flashing) the same help article that was shared above includes a restart process that should resolve the display issue.

I am having the same issue.  I have tried all the restart and charging procedures.  My Versa was charging last night and it was at 66%.  When I went to take it off the charger, thinking that it should be fully charged, the screen was blank and the Versa was hot.   It is completely unresponsive.  No vibrating, no screen nothing.  Reset procedure does not work.  It is completely dead.

I've been reading and following the suggested steps in this forum string.  I am having the same issue (unresponsive screen,  faint backlighting, no lights on device and indiscernible results when attempting to charge or reset).  I do not know what else to try.  I'm stuck and stumped.  Help!

Ok so my Versa watch is about 5 months old. About 10 days ago I noticed it wasn't recording my sleep patterns. After another couple of days, I realized it wasn't reading the BPM, and the sensor on the back was red. I followed all the trouble-shooting steps on the website, to no avail. I then contacted the support team (Chat) and they walked me through a 'Reboot and Restore Factory Setting'. They told me to keep an eye on it over the next few days. Unfortunately it still wasn't recording my BPM nor my sleep patterns. Today I woke up to find a blank screen (the battery is fully charged) and red sensor light. I tried to trouble shoot by restarting the watch...but I still have a black screen. However the watch vibrates every time my phone rings. So Im not quite sure what the problem is. Pleeeeeese help.

Hi I'm having the same problem with my fitbit.  It's non responsive and was hot too the touch.  I've tried to restart. Help
