I too am experiencing the same issue, although additionally, apps are triggered randomly (even if I take the watch off), eg timer app loads and counts down from my last timer setting.
I've reset the watch which went through the firmware update, 5 minutes on after all reconnected, the watch continued the random glitch/cycling through screens and apps. Note: all clocks are Fitbit created rather than 3rd party
Any further support on the previous response would be grateful

Try to return it before your warranty runs out. Tech support will not help you they are awful.

After 4 online chats with tech support there last "fix" they had me do and now I cant do anything with the watch. They offered me 25% off an new one even though my last one only worked for 6 months.
On the good side I bought a Garmin to replace my fitbit and it has been fantastic.

I have the same issue. The watch I have is actually a replacement watch they sent me because my first fitbit died in less than 24 hours (but now it seems the battery is draining quickly again.) It jumps between screens and I have to restart it twice for it to be normal. All of the buttons seem to be broken until I restart it 2 times.
