Hi All,
I bought my Versa last year, yesterday I did my usual day and in the afternoon my Versa screen went black. The backlight still works and it is still functionning (ie will vibrate & sync with phone) but I can't see anything on it.
I quickly searched online and couldn't find a fix except buying a new one.
I attempted to Hardware reset it with the 3 buttons but unfortunately even when I restart it I can't see the Fitbit Logo.
Can anyone help or has same issue?
I've reached out to support team but all they said was my warranty was expired and they couldn't help.

Hi @CanVinc , did you during the Factory Reset feel a strong vibrations and released only the right upper button? Does your Versa turn on when you put it in the charger? If yes, change your Clock Face to one developed by Fitbit and restart it. That you do not see the Fitbit logo is logical after a Factory Reset cause in this case your watch is essentially a new watch with no Fitbit iOS on it. Turning it on should tell you to go to the Firbit app and set it up all over again as if you just bought it. Hope this helps, regards kuzibri

Hey Kuzibri,
Thanks for the quick reply. My Versa doesn't turn on even on the charger, The backlight will illuminate but the screen will stay black.
When I try the Factory Reset I can't feel a strong vibration.
My phone is still able to sync with the watch but I can't see anything on it...

Hi @CanVinc. Welcome to the Community. @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you here and thanks for the heads up!
@CanVinc, thanks for sharing that your Versa's display isn't working correctly, as well for the steps that you've tried on your own. I'm sorry that you had this experience, our team often reviews the Community and takes every feedback posted to evaluate our procedures and improve our devices. I understand that this shouldn't have happened to your watch and since you've contacted our team, I'd suggest to reply back to their last email so you can receive more details about their resolution.
I'll be around if you have another question.

Same issue here - I've noticed a few Android updates came through and applied them, rebooted, etc but screen is black (even though i still get vibrations...including the alarm which I can't turn off since I can't see the screen)

@LizzyFitbit thanks Lizzy to get back to me fast,
Unfortunately I tried contacting the support team and all I received for assistance was that my Versa was out of warranty (4 months extra) and that my only option was to buy a new one with a 25% discount... Hence I'm trying to find an answer here as I feel the watch should last longer than 1 year and a bit
@davehacker yes I've also seen alot of post with the same issue. For me, I haven't done any updates in the last few days and the screen just stopped displaying in mid-day

It seems as if the display is kaput, but as one last throw of the dice, try downloading and installing another one of FitBit's clock faces to see if the display can be reset.

Same thing happened to me. I have had my Versa since June or July. I tried contacting customer service, sent an update to my first complaint but haven’t heard anything. It’s been two days. I bought my original Versa in November of last year but it messed up in June. They sent a replacement and that is what is now not working. I was wearing it, just folding laundry. Felt it vibrate and thought it was telling me I’d reached my steps but the screen went blank. I see it illuminate but there’s nothing there. Tried the update and nothing. Doesn’t even sync.

@SunriseRun427 hey, yes I feel like you might be right about the screen... Just odd that it stops working without notice or mishaps..
I tried changing the clock face, my App said it's changed but the screen is still black.
When it's on the charge, it won't turn on either.. all I see is a dark screen, can't see the battery %

This also happened to me (about 2 weeks ago). Versa worked fine for 14 months, then stopped working in the middle of the night. Contacted support. They were no help. Purchased a new Fitbit since my malfunctioning one missed the warranty by 2 months. Extremely frustrating—I feel your pain. Good luck.
