Hello group...received new fitbit Versa yesterday. Set-up went well however it appears that the BPM Sensor is not working properly. On my wrist it doesn’t register...the band is tight so i feel the sendor is on my skin. When i remove it from my wrist and place a finger on the sensor it will turn green intermitantly. Is anyone else experiencing this problem. I have had the “Charge” for a few years and have not experienced this problem. Any ideas?

How did you fix this? After one year of my Fitbit working perfectly, it’s now not tracking my heart rate. I’ve already done all the troubleshooting on my end. What worked for you?
hi I tried all of that and it’s still not picking up heart rate. I don’t see green light.

I did this and now it's ridiculously high! I've been at 169 bpm all day.

The green light isn’t working so I may as well wear it around my ankle.

On 13 jun 2018 (just over a year ago), I had a problem with my heart rate tracking. At that time, I noticed that heart rate monitoring was turned off, so I just turned it back on using settings on the Versa itself and it worked.
This morning I went out for a two-mile walk. I like to see my heart rate when I walk, so I was cycling through the options of what displays and heart rate never came up. I stopped the Excercise/Walk tracking and looked at the normal clock face. No heart rate. I couldn't go back in and try to troubleshoot it because I had other things to do. I turned heart rate on and then off, but that didn't work, so I just walked without it showing my heart rate.
I forgot about it until a few minutes ago. It's now working and I don't know why. If it disappears again, I'll try changing my clock face because I've noticed that this seems to help a lot of problems.

I don't think my HRM is working properly either. Currently, it's says my heart rate is 179 and keeps changing rapidly. Upon checking myself, it's much lower. Other times, I notice that the sensor doesn't pick up a pulse at all. I have shut the unit down and I have also done a factory reset; same issues occurring. Help!

I did all that procedure and my Versa still doesn't register heart rate. Also my display light has gone very dim.

I am having issues too. I’ve had the Versa for about 10 months and suddenly a week ago the heart rate started registering about double what my heart rate actually is. It’s has me in the peak zone all day long even if I am just sitting and relaxing and therefore shows me burning about 6,000 calories per day! Because of this, the sleep stages stopped working as well. I called Fitbit and followed their advise. Clean the back of watch, reboot it, turn off heart rate monitor, sync, turn heart rate back on, sync. This did not fix it. He then told me this is a known issue for Versa’s and they will not send me a new one because the fix is a firmware update but they have no idea when that is coming. In the meantime my stats are wildly inaccurate and I’m worried the update won’t come out before my warranty is up. Anyone have any other info on this issue?

My heart rate stopped working all together. Also the display light is very
dim. I also did the procedure to reset it with no luck. I talked to Fit
bit and because mine is out of warranty they gave me a discount to purchase
another one. I went for the iconic.
I changed mine as well . it didn't work.

After my post last night I changed my clock face too. It is now one of the fitbit clock faces and I am still having the same problem today.

I am having the same issue. Tried a factory reset, changing the clock face and nothing. I contacted customer support and all they told me is that I have to wait for them to figure out what is wrong. So frustrating.

I find it a bit fishy when people say that solved the problem. Plus, we should be able to use whatever watchface we want and it still work!

Yeah, I don't understand it myself, but I've had to change my watch face two different times and it did indeed solve the problem. Maybe someone who's created a watchface could tell us why, for example, an operating system update would make a watchface stop working.
