Versa is acting odd

Over the last few days my Versa is acting strange. Charge does not last more than 24 hours. It is losing time and days. When put on the charger it will set to correct date and time but only for a short while. I have been looking to find a fix and am unsuccessful.

I have owned several fitbits over the last few years and never had issues. They have always worked fantastically.

I hope someone can offer a solution.

Hi there @christensenc955, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your Versa's recent behavior. I understand how you must be feeling, thanks for the details provided in your post I'll be glad to help you with this.

Regarding the battery short life, I suggest taking a look at this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

However, as per the description or your post, it seems that your Versa is not having a sufficient power source when you charge it. So I wondered, where you do your charge it? Have you checked if the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work, please don't use a USB hub. For best results, don’t leave your device plugged in on the charger longer than overnight.

If by any chance you face with charging difficulties, please check the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

About the time and date not showing correctly on your watch, keep in mind that your Versa may be showing an incorrect time since it hasn't synced yet or if it hasn't been properly paired to your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit grabs the time of the device you're syncing with.

To see when was the last time your watch synced or check if it's still paired to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.

If your watch is unpaired, please set it up again by following the steps at: How do I set up my Fitbit device?. On the other hand, if your watch has not recently synced, follow these troubleshooting steps: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

The problem with my fit bit is not that it is not getting the charge
properly. I put it on the charger and when I take it off at says 100%
charged with thin a few hours it's at 50% and by the end of the day it is
at 0. The date also does not go forward at that time the time keeps losing
time it will be the perfect date and time when I take it off the charger
but within a few hours it will have lost time this has all happened
recently up until this point my fit bit worked perfectly I think it has
something to do with the last upgrade but I'm not sure. I know I am really
frustrated and thinking of going to another type of smart watch. This being
because I have not seen any suggestions or offering of help on any of the
community sites. I was very happy to hear from you and I'm hoping that
something can be done to rectify this problem as I do not want to have to
spend the money again to replace my watch.
