Versa is locked, can't see device code.

Got a new phone and our versa is locked.  Says unlock on phone.  So after installing the app and device ID recognized on my account, it sends a code to the Versa to enter.  I can't see the code!  How do I unlock it?

Howdo you factory reset a Versa to start over?

My spouse used this Versa and even she can't unlock it with her account.  Same message.

Need help.

Is the versa charged? What happens when you press one of the buttons on the side?

I am having the same problem!

Is it charged?  Of course it's charged.  It's locked and impossible to unlock.  You go to the app and it says enter code shown on watch.   Watch says, unlock with phone and won't show the code.

Fitbit won't unlock it and just offers to sell me another.  They're stealing.  Not going to let this go away. .

I am having the same issue and have emailed the Fitbit team, they told me to do the three button factory settings but that doesn’t even work so now they are putting it forward to someone higher to email me back with more information

This is getting bad.  So many people are having this issue and the company refuses to help. It's stealing.  I still do t have a solution to unlock the device.  Fitbit only offers to sell me a new one.  It's like your car locks you out and you can't use it so you have to buy a new one.

@Ghog this issue was brought apon by the user themself, please don't blame Fitbit.

When the watch clearly says to unlock with phone, it is only logical that removing the watch from the app will prevent the user from unlocking with phone.

One way to prohibit ever getting a locked device is to set the pin to protect only the Wallet.

People should really need to search the forum first where they will find out that they do not want to remove the tracker.

Also the Fitbit Help link, found below, will quickly get the needed help..this is a 30 second procedure to gain access to the tracker.

However once removed we need to perform a hardware reset using the buttons.

If all fails we always can contact Fitbit

We've done all that. Also, there is no warning that if youvunpair your
devices it's bricked. Offing to send it to fitbit, you know the company
that wrote the software and made the device could unlock it and send it
back. They offer to sell you a new one. Perfectly working device that I
can't use now. It's a scam.

Truevi don't see any warning about what happens when a locked tracker gets removed.

I do see a note on the tracker to unlock with phone. I also see instructions in the help doc for a 30 second process on how to unlock the tracker.

A simple search of the Versa, and Ionic boards will bring up many posts with locked trackers being removed with many having the solution of the above unlock procedure.

However it is only reasonable to understand that if the phone is needed to unlock the tracker, that if the tracker is removed from the account, the phone will not be BLE to unlock the tracker.

As mentioned, if these steps do not work, they are tricky to perform but they do work. The users only other choice is to reach out to Fitbit.

Next time only lock Fitbit pay and the user can not have this happen
