Versa is recording sleep patterns

My Versa has recently reverted back to the old sleep log type, occasionally it will show the newer sleep mapping but leave out Rem sleep and deep sleep.

  1. I have restarted the Fitbit,
  2. I have factory reset the Fitbit,
  3. Updated the firmware,
  4. Reinstalled the app,
  5. Worn the Fitbit on my other wrist,
  6. Worn it in a different position - all with the same result.

With the new update I have only ever had the 2 scores and without any REM sleep or deep sleep recorded.  The Versa is about 5 months old.

Hi @Spitty64, welcome to the Community. It's good that the community is growing!

Thanks for letting me know about your Versa, as well for the troubleshooting steps that you tried prior posting. You did a fantastic job! There are a few factors that may prevent your device from recording sleep stages, such as:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device as described in this help article.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

If this doesn't apply to you, please provide me with a screenshot of the message that appears when checking your sleep log. To attach your reply, check the steps from this post.

Let me know how it goes.
