hello all! i got my versa in december of 2018, so it's about a year and 3 months old. about a week ago, the left button stopped working. i have restarted the device, tried to clean it, and left it alone for a while to see if it would resolve the issue. at this point, the versa simply does not function for me anymore, and i'm about to throw it out. is there anything else i can do?

Thank you for your response. My mother is now speaking with the Fitbit support team, as the device has also irritated my wrist and I am a minor. They will not discuss anything with me now. I think I'm just going to switch platforms if this is not resolved soon 😞

I got mine for Christmas 2018, same issue and now the screen is stuck on the music source screen, nothing is working to get it off and I'm getting frustrated.

that sucks. if you contact support, they'll probably tell you to buy a new device! they'll offer you a discount though, so it's not that bad. honestly, i'm done with this company.

Not that bad?! I spent almost as much on my Fitbit as my daughter did on
her Apple Watch and she gets help 2 years later. Yes they will give a 25%
discount but really I have never had trouble in the past and I have had 3
other models but no more! I'm getting an Apple Watch!.

trust me, i was being sarcastic. worst customer service ever. i'm so disappointed in this company and i think i'll also be purchasing an apple watch.

You are correct Worst Ever customer service. At least with Apple you get
tech assistance after a year.

Me three!  I got this this as a Christmas gift 1 or 2 years back too.  Now the most  important button functioning button doesn't do anything, left button.  This is a manufacturing issue if multiple users are experiencing the same issue.  Then I tried to update and factory reset.  Both didnt work.  It keeps draining the batter now and only last a day.  And now my watch is stuck on the setup page where I cannot select any options because the left button doesn't do anything.

Hi @Pwins, thank you for joining our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the left button stopped working. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like you to try cleaning around the button of your watch with a toothpick in order to remove any dust or moisture that this part of your watch may accumulate. After this, try setting up your watch from scratch.

Finally, try the tips listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your watch.

Let me know if the issues get fixed.

they will just offer you 25% off of a new one, not worth repairing it. I'm
getting a Apple watch, at least they will repair it after the warranty is
out.

my fitbit versa actually burned me as well, so they're refunding me. i'm spending it on an apple watch series 3. i regret support fitbit for 5+ years.

I was a fitbit user for years as well, had a one, a couple charges and the
versa, no more for me.

The left button on Fitbit versa stopped working pressing it dose nothing and now thar is no way to get our out of applications without resetting

My Ionic did exactly the same thing, they offered me 25% discount code which is less discount than the current sale price, giving up with Fitbit

Wow! That is pretty sad, I guess Fitbit doesn't give a darn about customer
service anymore. I'm done, sorry to y'all still with them, many others are
jumping ship with me included.

Buy an Apple Watch. It’s what I’m going to do after reading a few hundred comments on this forum, it is clear that it is a Fitbit software glitch or deliberate obsolescence in latest update. The moderators all say the same thing about toothpicks / compressed air which helps no on. Fitbit clearly don’t care and have gone to pot since takeover.
