My Versa keeps disconnecting from my phone's Bluetooth and I don't receive notifications. I have Samsung S8 phone. Also get message not connected to WiFi.

@Pambob

i was replying to your reply from @Marrrmaduke : Message 9 of 41 on ‎06-18-2018 20:15 - edited ‎06-23-2018 21:11 within this thread, apparently all the "reply buttons" on this board do not follow the dialog being replied to.

i sorta agree with you about disappointment...i thought i was "upgrading" my broken Samsung Gear S3 to a better device... Samsung has SOME better features over Fitbit.

Each time you get an Android update on your S8, you have to delete the Versa device from the FitBit app (and lose any unsynced data) and set it up as a new device all over again.

Just when I was almost getting to not hate FitBit (my Versa is a gift to replace my Pebble, which I really miss, because it just worked).

I am having a hard time getting my Versa to connect with my phone/Bluetooth. It also will not connect with my wifi and I am not getting notifications.  I just got it and was setting it up today!

This worked, but it's a pain to do for a pricey watch such as the Versa (Special Edition) in 2019. I should have replaced my Blaze with another Blaze; I am **so** disappointed in this watch for several reasons. This disconnection issue is the proverbial straw. Thanks for your suggestion/bandaid solution.

Have decided to sell my Vera. Connection issues are ongoing after 6 months. If your interested in this device as a tool for notifications and health then look into Apple watch or Garmin. This has been a nightmare keeping it connected which means no possibility of proper data transfer.

can you use an apple watch with a Samsung phone?

What I have found resolves this issue, and does not have to be done
frequently (hasn't since the last update) is to remove the Versa from your
fitbit app, close the app, go into your settings, apps then force stop the
fitbit app. Then go back into the fitbit app, add the device and you
shouldn't have any further issues. I discovered this trick AFTER having it
replaced.

Just for the record, this "not connecting" business drove me nuts. What works for me now, to get them to connect, is to reboot my phone. This seems to automatically reconnect the watch with no difficulty. I have an Android phone, by the way.

The versa 2 will  remain connected when I turn the home internet off on my phone. It connects well and syncs real well. However, when I connect my phone to the home internet it fails to sync and connect. It also connects to my home internet without a problem as long as my phone is not connected to the home internet.

Try turning your home internet off your phone and then try to sync the versa to your phone. Also try to connect the versa to your home internet. This is what I had to do. Works well with all when your phone is not connected to your home internet.
