Versa not getting call notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just recently my Fitbit Versa stopped receiving phone call notifications while all other allowed notifications come through the Fitbit Versa watch such as a missed phone call, text, email, and Fitbit.

My Versa has been working as designed for just under 1 year with no issues until now.  I have read other help forums related to this issue that did not resolve.

Troubleshooting Details/History:

-  My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7 Phone.

-  I have made sure while trouble shooting this issue my phone and watch are near each other.

-  Notifications are on/allowed on the Fitbit watch/app and as well as on/allowed on my phone.

-  Test Phone Calls from the Fitbit app to watch do not come through.

-  Complete hard reset of phone.  Retested and no change.

-  Complete factory reset on the watch.  Retested and no change.

-  Uninstalled the Fitbit app.  Retested and no change.

-  Installed another phone app.  Retested and no change.

- Made sure notifications were allowed on the watch, the fit bit app, and the phone after new phone app was installed.

-  Tested my phone with other bluetooth devices. Notifications, including phone notifications, works as designed.

Any ideas?

@Bhall242113 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your call notifications and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Lets start by refreshing the link between your phone and your device by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on also see that your phone isn't in Silent mode and that it allows the phone call ring.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
