Hello @Neare bbq you checked to see if notifications are turned on, on the Versa?
Hold in the left button to get to the quick settings.
No if it is on I would do a restart, better yet a shutdown of the Versa.
Now if you still don't receive notifications then the Fitbit app is not sending them and we will need to know what type of phone it is.

I did uninstall and restart and nothing.
Note 9 samsung. On another note I can recieve messages from messenger. Buy that's not my contacts

I'm not sure what is meant by not contacts. Your contact app does not send notifications.
What app is your notifications set for? This should be your main messaging app, but does not need to be. Tap on App notification and you may choose any other app on the phone that you want notifications sent to the tracker.
