Versa not getting text notifications

I just got my Vesa lite yesterday. I receive all notifications and all e-mails. I however do not receive any text or calendar items. I looked at the notification settings and they are all correct and on, there is no specific setting for text or calendar on either the fit bit app or my phone. I am using an android Samsung Note 3. I would prefer to not get e-mail messages over text messages. How can I get text messages on my phone? This seems to be a recurring issue from what my research states. Thanks

Hi @dairysf , it seems that, besides iPhone users, also tome Android users suffer from the text notification problem, but that is due to the latest Firmware update. I get the idea from all the topics here about this issue that a great deal of Android users are Samsung owners. I use a Oppo Reno 2 device, which is not in the supported list (the Reno is in the list), but I do not have any problem regarding syncing and/or notifications at all. Regards kuzibri

@dairysf, welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding the text notifications issue that your Fitbit Versa is experiencing, I appreciate the troubleshooting steps that you tried before contacting our forums.

 

I'm afraid that the Samsung Note 3 is not in the Supported devices list. This is the reason why not all the features will work properly.

 

I'd like you to submit a compatibility request of this device in the Feature Suggestions board and people can vote for it. The more votes your request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers.
