I got my new Versa yesterday and it only counted 96 steps for the day. I am constantly walking and I know I walk about 6 to 7 thousand during my time at work. Today only 23 steps are counted and it takes more in an that just OP get to my car. Can someone please explain what's happening?

A warm welcome to the Community @Melz7107.

I would like to know if you have tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

After this, test your unit and let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

Hi, I have this problem and I have reset my watch three times and it still will not register steps.

This is the main reason I bought the watch and it’s not working at all.

Best Answer

OK I have done the hold buttons.......  NOTHING!!!!!

How do you get help from FITbit??????

Best Answer

Finally found out how to call Fitbit, and I got Anna....  Very pleased.  She had me send her a picture of my Versa because I told her that my steps were recording minus, this morning at 9:00 AM I had -4348 steps.

After she received the picture she told me to pic a different watch face and that is all it took.

Very please with the support and in particular, she listen to my problem, very rare these days.

As always very pleased with FitBit.

I've tried restarting my versa as well as changing the clock face. After I changed the clock face, my versa registered 8 steps but hasn't registered any more and I've definitely been walking more than just 8 steps.

So far it’s now counting my steps. Hope it continues.

Mine is doing the same. I get notifications on my watch saying "nice job 250/250" and the app shows my steps, but the watch says 0. I've restarted multiple times. It is frustrating.

I’ve read this entire thread without a solution!

Mine started doing the not paring thing last week. I missed getting a workout synced to the app my fitness centre uses. I’ve not had a problem until this past week.

It’s worked since I bought the Versa. Now all of a sudden it’s lost.

I have an iPhone & it’s never been a problem until last week!

My laptop is an HP. But, I still want it paired to my phone for ease of access throughout my day. Isn’t it SUPPOSED. To work with any phone??? At least that’s what it was advertised as! I need a solution asap!
