Versa not responding to button/touch

Two days ago my versa stopped responding to the back button. That night while sleeping, the screen started making ghost selections on its own. Yesterday, I allowed the battery to fully die figuring it needed a rest. Today, with the battery now fully charged it won't load past the Fitbit logo. I've tried to reboot the device and it still won't load.

Please advise

Update: now nothing is showing on the screen, though you can tell there's power to the screen.
