Purchased September 2, 2018. Charged overnight and won't come on. Tried resetting by holding all buttons down. Does the battery need replacing? How can I fix it?

Woke up to the same problem this morning. Actually, this is the 2nd replacement and they've only worked 3-5 months before dying again. Now they're telling me my one year warranty as expired; doesn't renew when replacement needed and offered a 25% discount on a new one. Not going to purchase another Versa. . will revert back to my Flex 2 as it is the only other one I can use in the pool.
