I'mot sure why many, many, many people are more than happy for many years without an issue.. Yet a few have issues.

In fact I can’t even find one happy Fitbit user in this community! Where do they post?

I have seen happy customers in this community, but since this community is setup as a place to help users who are having problems. The majority will be the few users with problems.
You could easily go to a jail and say, I didn't see anyone who hasn't committed a crime, therefore all people commit crimes.
In the 7 years meeting hundreds of Fitbit users, I can count the unhappy people on one hand. One of which I was able to fix their problem in less than 5 minutes.

By and large the community consensus is that Fitbit devices last about 6 months on average with few exceptions. Aside from my latest replacement lasting an impressive 2 DAYS before dying it was my 4th since April 2018 so a little less than 6 months of use per device. Seems the trick to being happy with a Fitbit device is to accept that failure will occur within a few months of plonking down $200 and be happy in that knowledge.

Instill more faith in the community as a leader by being as accurate as possible with your responses. How many hands would it really take you to count the unhappy Fitbit users over the last seven years?

So excited to have received my 5th (because the other 4 stopped working after only a few months) Fitbit device in less that 4 years (4 year anniversary in April). Charged it, set it up and the screen flickers like a **ahem**ty, old television. In all honesty WTF with these things? I’m only still wearing one because they still send them for free because they never outlast the warranty. Once again I have crap on my wrist. According to community “legends” here I am among a “handful” of disgusted users who have problems with the device. I call bull**ahem** on that x 100 as I’m about to call Fitbit yet again to have them send me my 6th watch in less than 2 years because I might as well take the freebies while the warranty is in effect. One of these days I’m gonna have no option but go to a device that works. Fitbit is clearly not that device. Fitbit devIces are ...

Absolutely agree . My 5th has just died , this one is a Versa 2 . It's 5 in just over 4 years in my case , amazingly most have to limped past the warranty period before dying .
No more Fitbit for me , going for a much cheaper option which will probably be more reliable but if it isn't , it won't be as painful.

Another happy user here! 🙌
I have had the Charge 2 since it came out. Still alive and kicking. Now got the Versa 2, and other than some annoyance with the location service, it's looking good so far (*knock on wood!*).
I think it's pretty great that FitBit continues to stand by their product and keeps sending you new ones, though. If they only got clients that were unhappy and they'd have to keep doing that to even half of the customers, they'd probably be long out of business, no?
Some people just seem to have really bad luck with tech stuff, I guess.
