Versa not syncing or finding device on phone

For the last couple of days I'm having problems syncing my Versa to my phone - Samsung s9. Restarted fitbit versa and phone, reinstalled app on phone, unpaired from Bluetooth and finally managed to re-pair the versa and still not syncing or saying unable to find device! Last synced at 19.10 last night 😡😫

Hi @S_janey Try THIS Help Article on syncing issues. Try all the suggestions. Often the most unlikely sounding one is the onw that works!

This is happening with my Samsung 8 as well. Daily I have to reboot my Versa, phone or repair. This has been going on for a month. I have never had these issues in my many years of Fitbit use. Just paid for premium early this month but this is diminishing any benefit!

Same with LG G7...wont connect to Bluetooth at all anymore. Have to fight with it for days, never keeps the right time....i have an expensive versa lite for nothing, what good is a watch that won't keep time? Yes I've contacted support, it's been factory reset, turned on/off both the phone and the watch....its a nightmare!

The Versa I bought for my wife last Christmas won’t sync or pair with her iPhone 11, her iPad or her Samsung Tablet.  Done all the suggestions....reboot watch, turn off and back on Bluetooth...removed watch from all devices, deleted fitbit app and installed and new one and registered name with Fitbit with new email address.  Chatted with help line and contacted fitbit help line....both got me to do the same things...turn off,,turn on etc.   They were pleasant but didn’t fix anything.  Doesn’t matter, won’t pair.  Bluetooth does not recognize the watch as it doesn’t show up as a device to connect to.  Was told the watch is defective.

i have had 4 fitbit watches over the years...first one was a skinny model(can’t remember the model name), stopped working about 2 weeks before warranty expired....fitbit sent me a new one under warranty,....this one last a little over a year past (warranty) before the face of the watch broke right of the built in strap.  They sent me a 25% discount coupon which I used to purchase an Ionic.  So far it’s been almost 2 years and still working.
With the issue of my wife’s Versa after only a year and a half and the other problems I have had with fitbit quality and reading the Same issues with the Versa, I don’t have much confidence in the fitbit product and will probably be looking at an Apple Watch for the same price as the Versa for my wife and mine as soon as my Ionic starts to go on the blink.

I have the same problem. Have tried everything but no resolution.

I think the only resolution is the recycling bin.

I managed to fix the same problem.

I restarted both my watch and IPhone then connected my watch to the charger and placed both the watch and phone next to my modem.

Then I followed the connection procedure and it worked!!
I hope it works for you too😅

Thanks but done that procedure over a dozen times.

Sorry to read it didn't work for you.

I noticed that an update came through at the same time so it could be that updates affect the syncing(?)

Best Answer
Yes it was the same time....I clicked on the update and the update disappeared and never returned. Wife was having a problem with the watch a few weeks before that while out of town....wrong date, times was about 3 -6 hours out of time.
Thanks for the thought though.

Having the same problem and done all of the recommended fixes. Only syncs up when I repair my galaxy N9 and versa lite, then stops syncing about within a few minutes. Getting tired of of repairing 1 or 2 times per day so I can have a watch with correct time. Why is fitting not fixing this problem? Pretty sure they have had plenty of complaints.

Sorry to read about your problem. Seems it’s a common issue.
My Versa 2 is definitely not a “smart“ watch. It’s marketed as one by many retailers. Perhaps I was lucky to resolve my issue first time around. Time will tell!!
I hope you can get a fix from the help line.

Thanks for the help. I've tried all this. Now it just seems very sporadic when it syncs or not 🤷‍:female_sign:

Hi again
Sorry to read that news.
Touch wood - my phone and watch have been behaving and syncing nicely today.
Perhaps I’m just lucky and should buy a tattslotto ticket while it lasts!!!
Best of luck to you and others with this problem.
Try and persist before you rush out and buy an Apple Watch!!!!!

Same problem here. Last synced at 8 hours ago, now there's an exclamation point inside a red circle every time I try to sync. Did all the suggested steps with no success. Doesn't show up on my phone at all. My phone did just have a software update  so I wonder if that could be an issue?

I’m having the same issue with my Versa, and it seems to be doing it more and more often lately. After trying multiple solutions this morning (restarting the device, restarting my phone, turning Bluetooth on and off, deleting the app and reinstalling, removing the device and trying to re-pair it, etc), I got it working again, only to have the SAME issue two hours later.

This is my third Fitbit and all others have bit the dust for stupid reasons (battery issues etc).

For a device the price of the Versa that is barely a year old, this is not acceptable. Fitbit needs to get their act together.
